standard nutrition

A complete form of nutrition which fulfills all energy and vital nutrient requirements. Standard nutrition is based on regional eating habits and contains few limitations. Scientific findings are taken into consideration in determining the best combination of foods to avoid nutritionally related diseases. An alternative version of this diet is light standard nutrition. It follows the same principles of standard nutrition but excludes foods to which there is an intolerance of the digestive system causing symptoms such as such flatulence and diarrhea.
