Optional services are additional services to meet the individual needs of patients. They go beyond the standard hospital catering services.

There are two groups:

• medical services: e.g. treatment by the senior physician
• non-medical services e.g.: own room or two-bed room, special equipment (telephone, TV), gourmet service

Optional services can be ordered by any patient and paid for privately or by a private insurance.
