menu ordering systems

Menu ordering systems are necessary in hospitals and care institutions to record patients' and residents' meal orders. There are:

  • manual card ordering systems: orders are ticked on printed cards for each meal and processed in the kitchen
  • electronic ordering systems: meals are ordered directly at the patient's bed e.g. with pen pads, over touch terminal in the dining room or over ward PCs. Data is immediately passed to the kitchen server.
