dysphagia
Dysphagia describes difficulty in swallowing. The condition may be congenital or a result of structural damage resulting from accident or illness and is a growing health risk in old age. It restricts enjoyment of eating and drinking and may also lead to social isolation due to reduced ability to share meals and conversation.
