BMI

The Body-Mass-Index reflects the relationship between the height and weight and serves as an orientation for  ideal adult weight. BMI = body weight in kg: (height in m)². In order to ascertain underweight, overweight or obesity, age and gender must also be taken into consideration:

• women: underweight BMI < 19, overweight BMI > 24
• men: underweight BMI < 20, overweight BMI > 25
